Vetor Editora completed in 2006, 40 years of existence. It began its activities in September 1966 with the goal to supply the Brazilian market with Psychological Evaluation Tests. The intention, at the time, was to create tests that were adapted to the country's reality. Existing titles until then were all imported. In this manner, the publishing house played a decisive role towards the encouragement of research in that field, proposing to prioritize the publishing the works of Brazilian researchers.

Due to its familiarity and analysis of the professional needs of related sectors, Vetor also began to publish books in the fields of Psychology, Pedagogy and Psychiatrics. Its current catalog offers more than 150 publications. The fact that it owns its own printing facilities insures a quality finish for its products. The entire process is done at the institution itself: the purchase of paper, the production of computer page layouts, printing and distribution for the entire country. 

Its main Office is located in the city of São Paulo, at a privileged address: in Paraíso district, just 200 meters from Paulista Ave. At this address, clients find the purchase services for Psychological Tests, Books, Courses and Psychological Evaluation, Selection of Personnel for companies. In 2005, it inaugurated a unit in the city of Campinas (São Paulo state). In order to cater to Psychologists from other states, Vetor counts on 29 distributors in the whole of Brazil.
Concurrently to this process, the publishing house promotes several encouragement and support actions directed at the Psychology community. It constantly takes part of events in the sector (oftentimes as a sponsor). It has an in-house research center which updates tests and offers support for researchers; and, in order to promote its new assignments, it publishes - twice a year - its scientific magazine Psic.
